Epithymia is the Greek word for lust. But It can also be translated to mean “strong desire”. It does not always refer to something bad – Jesus uses the word to refer to his desire to share the passover meal with his disciples for example (Luke 22.15) – but generally it is used to refer to a strong desire that your body has.
